- Keep a clean machine
- Having the latest security software and operating system is the best defense against cyberthreats
- Keep all software up-to-date and remove any unwanted or no longer needed applications.
- When in doubt, throw it out!
- If an e-mail/post/ad looks suspicious, even if you know the source, it's best to throw it out.
- Think before you act, be wary of communications that prompt you to act immediately, to take advantage of an time-limited offer or that are too good to be true.
